Work Center Utilization - Machine dashboard
The Work Center Utilization - Machine dashboard analyzes the performance of a work center in terms of utilization at week level. You can filter to a specific work center to analyze the week trend of utilization. A certain benchmark for utilization percent is also displayed to help you see which weeks hit the benchmark or which weeks are under-utilized.
Reports and KPI
The dashboard contains these reports:
- Machine Utilization Pct by Period
- Capacity vs Reported Hours by Period - Machine
- Top Machine Utilization Pct by Work Center
- Bottom Machine Utilization Pct by Work Center
- Machine Work Center Details
The report Capacity vs Reported Hour by Period - Machine is displayed in the dashboard as Capacity vs Reported Hour by Period.
Visual filtering for Work Center is available in Machine Work Center Details and Top and Bottom Utilization Pct by Work Center reports.
The dashboard also has the Utilization KPI, which shows the total Utilization Pct – Machine measure, together with the maximum and minimum utilization percent. This KPI uses the Entry Date and Transaction Date as the basis for analysis and the Sum, Max, and Min aggregations.

Last N Weeks, Ranking, Show N Records, and Benchmark (Utilization Pct) are embedded filters. Ranking, Last N Weeks, and Week/Year are mandatory filters. The Year from Week/Year filter shows up to current year + 1.
The Ranking filter is applied in the dashboard to enable switch between Top and Bottom Machine Utilization Pct by Work Center reports. This filter is defaulted to Bottom.
Show N Records is a mandatory filter that is applied in Top Machine Utilization Pct by Work Center and Bottom Machine Utilization Pct by Work Center.
Drill across
From this dashboard, you can drill across to the Work Center Utilization - Details dashboard for a more detailed analysis of work center utilization. Parameters that are set in this dashboard are passed in the drill-across dashboard.
