Custom Subject Area

A subject area is a listing of all attributes and measures in the space. Apart from the default subject area, a space administrator can create custom subject areas. M3 Analytics has several predefined custom subject areas which correspond to the different domains:

• M3A Finance
• M3A Sales
• M3A Procurement
• M3A Production
• M3A Rental
• M3A Warehouse

Each custom subject area contains only the corresponding dimensions and measures of a specific domain. A conformed dimension has the same set of attributes available across the different subject areas. These attributes are a subset of those in the default subject area. The measures, on the other hand, are grouped by business area per domain.

Security is defined for each custom subject area as well.
