Sales Manager – Margin dashboard
The Sales Manager – Margin dashboard analyzes the sales margin for products and customers. A breakdown of invoiced amounts helps illustrate margin erosion and how discounts, commissions, and other operating costs eat into the company's profit and margin.
This dashboard can answer business questions such as:
- Is the margin improving over time?
- Are operating costs and expenses effectively managed?
- Does the company need to revisit its price-setting procedures amid increasing costs?
The dashboard consists of KPIs for Gross Margin 1 Pct, Invcd Net Amt, COGS Standard, and Gross Profit 1, as well as these reports:

You can filter the data by using these standard filters:
- Facility
- Warehouse
- Time
- Sales Organization
- Customer
- Customer Geography

- Sales Order Type
- Promotion
- Item
The Show N Records (w/ default) filter is applied to the reports Invoiced Amount Breakdown, Pct of Total by Customer, and Pct of Total by Product. The Pct of Total reports are designed to be used with the measure sorted descending.
The additional filter Pct of Total – Measure provides ad hoc reporting functionality, allowing you to change the measure that is used by the Pct of Total reports.
