New option to convert virtual fields (CMS012) to hexadecimal values or Base64 for configurable XML
A new field has been added to 'Virtual Fields. Connect' (CMS012/E) for field type 8-'Merge Data'. This enables the conversion of fields to Hexadecimal or Base64 for a virtual field in a configurable output XML. Additionally, the development has focused on enabling the creation of TLV QR codes, but the functionality can be also used for other purposes.
- This additional field or functionality is available only for configurable XML, printer files.
- Conversion to hexadecimal values can result in unprintable values. Outputting virtual fields converted to hexadecimal with incorrect values causes the values to be outputted as ERROR.
- Using converted virtual fields as a label, for example setting 5-'Value' as label from the field, might result in truncation of values if the value exceeds 200 characters in length.
