Virtual Chart of Accounts and Alternative Reporting Dimension
The possibility to use an alternative accounting dimension for financial reporting has been introduced in several programs. In those programs, it is also possible to perform a virtual accounts translation using a scenario that is defined in 'Account Translation Scenario. Open' (GLS030).
When corporate accounting is activated, only the local accounting ledger can use all 7 accounting dimensions. The other accounting ledgers can only use accounting dimension 1. To fully support the use of all accounting dimensions in the applicable reports, the accounting identities must be defined in the chart of accounts in 'Accounting Identity. Open' (CRS630).
