How IBM® WebSphere® Transformation Extender (WTX) maps work with Lawson EDI Professional for Supply Chain

Lawson EDI Professional for Supply Chain supports the use of the IBM® WebSphere® Transformation Extender (WTX) mapping product in this manner:

1. The Lawson EDI Professional for Supply Chain translation makes certain types of data available to the translation process by writing this data to various temporary files.

2. The translation server then executes the translation process identified on the trading partner record. This process in turn executes the IBM® WebSphere® Transformation Extender (WTX) map defined on the trading partner record.

3. After the translation process ends, the Lawson EDI Professional for Supply Chain server reads back in the data output by the translation process and completes the processing of it. The server also deletes the temporary files that were written in step 1.
