Using GTINs in EDI transactions

To use GTINs in ASC X12 Transactions with Lawson EDI for Supply Chain Management customers must be in Lawson Applications 9.0.1.3 and Lawson EDI 9.0.0.4 or 9.0.1.1. GTINs are only available for use in the Lawson interface files for Lawson applications 9.0.1.3 and higher.

If a GTIN exists in a POEDI file, it is directly mapped to the PO1 segment of an ASC X12 850 transaction using a "UK" qualifier. No additional setup is required in the Lawson EDI for Supply Chain Management application.

If a GTIN exists in a supported ASC X12 transaction file (for example, 810 Invoice) it is directly mapped to the corresponding Lawson interface file (for example, MA540CSV). No additional setup is required in the Lawson EDI for Supply Chain Management application.
