Route Creation (WH120)
Run Route Creation (WH120) to create a temporary route file. Only companies that deliver goods directly to customers use this program, and they must do so before printing the pick list.
Processing Effect
This program creates a temporary work file of the routes to be picked, packed, shipped, and released. The application assigns each order line to the next available route. It calculates the day of the week for the expected ship date and finds the next available delivery day.
More Information
After running this program, you can adjust routes and stops using the WH21 forms. When the routes are acceptable, print the pick list and continue normal processing.
You decide whether or not your company delivers by route during Billing application setup. In the Order Entry application, you can set up delivery routes and decide which customers to deliver to on which day, and the sequence in which the truck visits each customer.
