Course Prerequisite (TR02.1)

Use Course Prerequisite (TR02.1) to define course prerequisites, which limit participation in a course. When you define a prerequisite, you use only the fields that pertain to that type of prerequisite. The other fields are left blank.

To define a course prerequisite, use the Type, Required, Prerequisite, Start, and Stop fields.

To define an employee group prerequisite, use the Type, Required, Prerequisite, Company, Start, and Stop fields.

To define a competency prerequisite, use the Type, Required, Prerequisite, Start, and Stop fields.

To define a service prerequisite, use the Type, Required, Date Type, Length, Unit, Start, and Stop fields.

Prerequisites are required or optional. Employees must complete all required prerequisites before they can register for a course unless a number is specified in TR02.2 (Perquisite Options). Employees do not have to complete optional prerequisites to register for a course unless a number is specified in TR02.2.
