Assign the custom MobileUser attribute to mobile users

Perform these steps for each user that should have access:

  1. Launch the Lawson Security Administrator tool and log in as an administrator to the Lawson server where the following are installed:

    • For Mobile Inventory: Lawson Inventory Control must be installed on the Lawson server.

    • For Mobile Assets: Lawson Asset Management must be installed on the Lawson server.

    • For Mobile Financials: Lawson Financials must be installed on the Lawson server.

    • For Mobile Projects Activity: Lawson Projects must be installed on the Lawson server.

    • For Mobile Grants Management: Lawson Grants must be installed on the Lawson server.

  2. From the category menu, select User Management.
  3. Select User Maintenance.
  4. Search for the user you want to grant mobile access to.
  5. When you find the user in the query results section, right-click the user in the list and select Edit RM Information.
  6. Locate the MobileUser attribute under the People section.
  7. Double-click the Value Property box. The Attribute Values dialogue box is displayed.
  8. Specify the attribute value.

    This table shows the value for each Mobile Application:

    Application Value
    Mobile Inventory Inventory
    Mobile Assets Assets
    Mobile Financials Financials
    Mobile Projects Projects
    Mobile Grants Grants
  9. Repeat steps 1–7 to add multiple values from the Available Attribute Values list and move the selected values over to the Assigned Attribute Values list.
  10. Click OK.
  11. From the Change RM Object window, click the Edit menu and select Change to save the changes to the user.
