Rule files

One or more rule files must be created for Mobile Employee when it is deployed as an Internet-facing application. These rule files define exactly which securable objects (database tables or program forms) the application can access from the Internet.

To assist in creating rule files for your system, EMSS delivers some templates for Mobile Employee to get you started. Applied together, these templates define full access to the Mobile Employee product outside the firewall. Each template file defines access to a subset of the Mobile Employee product.

File Name	Description
emss_gen.xml	Access rules for GEN data source. This is needed for the app to look up the Infor Lawson Server Application version. This file is assigned to the GEN data source in Infor Security Services Administration.
memss_app.xml	Access rules for Mobile Employee. Activate this file to enable full Internet access to Mobile Employee. This file is assigned to the APP data source in Infor Security Services Administration.
