Example 2: Partial access to Mobile Employee

Follow these steps to only allow access to a subset of Mobile Employee externally.

Caution: 
Removing access to some functions of the app will result in the an error when a restricted function is accessed. Some rules are shared by more than one function. Removal of rules for one function could result in another desired function becoming inaccessible. Testing is recommended to ensure that the app is functioning as you expect.

  1. Edit the memss_app.xml rule file. Remove rules from the file for each major function you do not want accessible. Comments above the rules identify the rules for each function. Save your changes.
  2. Assign the emss_gen.xml rule file to the GEN data source.
  3. Assign the memss_app.xml rule files to the APPS data source.
