Printing work orders

The printed work order is an optional document used by the production staff to produce the finished goods. You can use printed work orders as feedback turnaround documents. Work orders must have a Released status before you can print them. You may need to schedule physical inventory. Scheduling a physical inventory

Typically, printed work orders contain these:

  • Name, quantity to be produced, and description of the finished good

  • Name, description, quantity to be picked, and location of each component, along with its production sequence and component notes

  • Space to record the bin, lot, and sublot from which each component was picked

  • Space to record component quantities used and any waste

  • Burden costs (such as labor, overhead, and testing) and burden notes

  • Byproduct name, description, planned quantity (with space to record actual quantity), and notes

  • Assembly instructions

Print work orders

  1. Access Production Print (WO133).
  2. Specify this information:
    Company

    Select a company number defined on Company (IC01.1).

    Location

    Select a valid stock location as defined on Location (IC02.1). It is also the production facility where finished goods are produced for work orders.

    Work Order

    Select the range of work orders that you want to include on the report.

    Status

    Select which status of work order that you want to include on the report. Choose from Both, Exploded, or In Production.

    Reprint

    Optional. Select whether you want to reprint a range of work orders that have been previously printed.

    Note: You must type a range of work order numbers.
    Date

    Type the range of work orders that you want to print, based on the work order production start date.

    Days

    Optional. This field allows you to add or subtract a specific number of working days from the current system date. You can select Add days or Subtract days from the value list. The default is Add days.

    Print Feedback Line

    Select whether you want to print a line on which you record feedback for the component and actual quantity used.

    Print Waste Line

    Optional. Select whether you want to print a line on which you record component waste quantity.
