Create demand for a time-phased order point

  1. Access Distribution Requirements Report (DR100).

DR100 is meant for items set up with the time-phased ordering method (TPO) in Item Location (IC12.1). With time-phased reordering, item reorder requirements and available stock are tracked over time.

  2. Run the program to print a report of distribution requirements. Specify this information:
    Company

Select a company number defined on Company (IC01.1).

    Location

Select an inventory location that was set up using Location (IC02.1). The report only includes items assigned to this location.

    Report Group

Select a report group that you defined using Report Group (IC03.1). The report only includes locations assigned to this report group.

    Buyer

Select a buyer that you defined using Buyer (PO04.1). The report only includes items that are assigned to this buyer.

    Inventory Major Class

Select a major inventory class. The report only includes items that are assigned to this major inventory class.

    Update

Decide whether to create an unreleased document for all planned orders within the Firm Order Period Cutoff parameter.

    Check Activity

Decide whether to limit this report to items whose supply or demand has changed since the report was last run.

    Calendar

Type the name of the calendar used in production scheduling.

    Current Beginning Date

    Type the beginning period date.

    Planned Periods

Determine the number of periods to calculate planned orders (up to 52).

    Firm Order Period Cutoff

If you selected Yes in the Update field, type the period cutoff date. Planned orders will not be created after this date.

    Printing Period Cutoff

Type a print cutoff date, so that DR100 only prints items that create a planned order within this period cutoff.

  3. Use Planned Orders (DR25.1) to view and update planned orders generated by DR100.
