Adding production feedback

Use this procedure to enter the actual finished good quantity produced, actual components used, and actual burden costs.

Note: You cannot perform production feedback if the work order has an offsite hold code.

Add production feedback

Access Production Feedback (WO40.1).
When you begin production feedback, certain quantities default to this form when you select the Add form action:
- Component planned quantities default to the Actual Qty field.
- Estimated burden costs default to the actual burden fields.
- Estimated byproduct quantities default to the Actual Quantity field on Byproduct Production Feedback (WO42.1).
Select the Add form action, select the Finished Good tab, and type the finished good and shrinkage quantity produced by the work order. The finished good quantity is the actual quantity of the finished good that is produced by this work order. You must enter the finished good quantity before production feedback can begin.

The shrinkage quantity is the amount of shrinkage that occurs when the total actual quantity of all components used is less than the actual quantity of the finished goods produced (when all components and the finished good are in the same unit of measure).

Note: If you try entering a finished good quantity that is less than the planned quantity, a message displays on Split Work Order (WO40.7) prompting you to indicate whether you want to split the work order. The default value is Y (Yes).

Select the Change form action and select from these tabs.


Select this tab	To
Finished Good	Select Byproduct to access Byproduct Production Feedback (WO42.1). Type the actual byproduct quantities.
Components	Type the actual component quantities used.
Burdens	Type the actual burden costs.
User Fields	Type user-defined fields.

Optional. If the finished good is tracked by bin, lot, serial number, or multiple unit of measure, the appropriate option appears on the Finished Goods tab. Choose the option to transfer to the appropriate form. Type the actual quantity of finished goods.

Optional. If the finished good is serial-tracked and any serial-tracked components exist, you can cross-reference the component serial numbers to the finished good serial number.
- Select Ser Xref to transfer to Finished Good - Component Serial Cross-Reference (WO40.6).
- Select the Inquire form action and type the location and work order.
- Select the Change form action and the Add line action and type the component serial numbers.

Optional. If the byproduct is tracked by bin, lot, serial number, or multiple units of measure, the appropriate button appears on the Finished Goods tab. Select the option or use the appropriate form. Type the actual quantity of byproducts that are tracked by bin, lot, serial number, or multiple unit of measure.

Optional. If any component is tracked by bin, lot, serial number, or multiple unit of measure, the appropriate option appears on the Component tab. Select the option to transfer to the appropriate form. Type the actual quantity of components.

Select the Finish form action to complete production feedback.
Select the Release form action to complete production feedback and automatically submit Production Feedback Update (WO140) for the work order. Updating Inventory Control and General Ledger
