Tax codes
Tax codes are predefined codes that identify the tax authorities that your company pays taxes to. Tax codes can be used as tax table codes, stand-alone tax codes, or table members. This table describes these three methods of using tax codes.
Tax Code | Description |
---|---|
Tax table code | These codes have no rates assigned to them. They are used to apply more than one tax code to a tax transaction to calculate a tax on a tax. |
Stand-alone tax codes | These codes have rates assigned and can be used as a stand-alone tax code or as a member of a tax table. |
Table members | These codes have rates assigned, but can only be used in a tax table. |
