About Source

The Source is the origin of the funds that you are allocating. The Source includes a pool and a driver.

Pool

The pool is the allocated amount, which you can define for up to a maximum of four segments. This includes the primary user analysis, using single User Analysis values, or User Analysis value lists, plus single values or value lists for the General Ledger company, accounting unit and account structure. You must define the primary user analysis as the first user analysis and it must be a single value.

Driver

The driver determines how the amounts of the allocation are dispersed. The driver can be a total name or a fixed percent.

The dynamic driver is defined in a total name. The first user analysis occurrence is the primary user analysis and you can define it using a single value or list.

The dynamic driver divides each primary user analysis value with the total of all the primary user analysis values.

A fixed percent allocation allows the transfer of a pre-defined fraction of the source. This can be less than 100%.
