Correcting and releasing transaction errors

Note: Error messages display for transaction lines one at a time. If more than one error exists for a transaction line, then the next error displays when you release the previous one.
  1. Access Error Transaction Edit (SL40.1).
  2. In the User Analysis Group field, select the user analysis group containing the user analysis fields that you want to view the transaction errors.
  3. The error message identifying why the transaction was not completed displays. Make the appropriate changes to the transaction(s) then release it.
  4. To release the transaction, use the Release line action and the Change form action. When you release the transaction detail line, the line no longer appears on this form.
  5. (Optional) Click Filter to open Filter (SL40.4). Use this form to select criteria that limit the transactions that display.
  6. (Optional) Click More to open Additional Information (SL04.3). Use this form to display and maintain additional detail for each transaction line such as the activity, account category, posting date, attributes, and transaction, base, account, and report currency amounts.
