Enabling the Employment task

The Employment task enables you to access these tasks:

  • Job Postings - You must define special applicant status and hire source codes so that employees can apply for internal openings.

  • Work Phone – You must confirm that the employees exist on the system so that they can update work phone, extension, and email information.

Complete these steps to set up applicant status and hire source code:

  1. Access Applicant Status (PA30.1).

    When an employee uses Job Postings to apply for a job, the system inserts WA in the Status field in Requisition Applicant (PA43.1).

  2. Define a status code of WA (web applicant).
  3. Access HR Codes (HR04.2).

    When an employee uses Job Postings to apply for a job, the system inserts WEBAPP in the Source field in Requisition Applicant (PA43.1).

  4. Define a hire source code of WEBAPP (web application).
