Setting up time off request rules
- Access Time Off Request Rules (ES03.1).
 - Specify this information:
           
- Time Off Request Types
 - 
              Indicates the time off request types that are available to the employee in the EMSS Time Off Request tasks. Select one of these available time off request types:
- Paid Time Off Only
 - Leave of Absence Only
 - Both Paid Time Off and Leave of Absence
 
This is a required field.
 - Maximum Daily Hours
 - 
              
The maximum hours per day that an employee can request. This is a required field.
 - Notification Required
 - 
              
Indicates whether an email notification is routed to the employee's direct manager for approval when the employee submits a paid time off request. This is an optional field.
 - Time Record Creation
 - 
              
Indicates whether a pending time record (PRPENDTIME) is created for an approved paid time off request. If set to yes, then a time record is created with the pay code tied to the payout service code defined in the Absence Plan Payroll Rule. This is an optional field.
 - Full Day Hours
 - 
              
Specify the number of hours requested when the employee submits a paid time off request for All Day. This is a required field.
 - Leave Status
 - 
              
The Leave Status value is updated in the LP51 program and used to create a workflow trigger to notify the HR administrator when the employee submits a leave of absence request. This is an optional field.
 - Leave Action Code
 - 
              
Specify the Leave Action Code value that is updated in the LP51 program. This optional field creates a personnel action to update the employee's status when the employee submits a leave of absence request.
