Verifying prerequisite data to add competencies

  1. Access HR Codes (HR04.1) and click the HR Codes link.
  2. Inquire about one of the four competency types to access Competencies (HR81.4):
    • Ability (AB)
    • Skill (SK)
    • Knowledge (KN)
    • Other Attributes (OA)
  3. Add the competency codes. When defining the codes, consider the Web Available field. These are the options:

    • No: The competency is not displayed in self-service, even if it is assigned to the employees in PA21.1.

    • Display Only: The competency is displayed in self-service as a current one for employees if they possess it in PA21.1, but these employees cannot add the competency for themselves in self-service.

    • Update: The competency is displayed in self-service as a current one for the employees if they possess it in PA21.1, and these employees can add the competency for themselves in self-service.
