Template rule files

The Internet-facing rule file templates for EMSS are located under the GENDIR/assembly/products/shr/rules directory. These files define full access to the EMSS product. Locate these files first before proceeding.

Perform the steps in the Activating the Rule File section of the Infor Security Services Configuration Guide when activating rule file examples shown here:

Example 1: Full access to Employee Self-Service, Manager Self-Service, and HR Service Delivery

Perform these steps to allow external access to the entire EMSS product.

  1. Assign the emss_gen.xml rule file to the GEN data source.
  2. Assign the ess_app.xml, mss_app.xml, and enwisen_app.xml rule files to the APPS data source.

Example 2: Full access to Employee Self-Service

Perform these steps to only allow external access to Employee Self-Service tasks.

  1. Assign the emss_gen.xml rule file to the GEN data source.
  2. Assign the ess_app.xml rule file to the APPS data source.

Example 3: Full access to Manager Self-Service

Perform these steps to only allow external access to Manager Self-Service tasks.

  1. Assign the emss_gen.xml rule file to the GEN data source.
  2. Assign the mss_app.xml rule file to the APPS data source.
