Employee inquiry tasks
This table lists the inquiry tasks available in Employee Self-Service:

Alternate Pay Rates |
Lists the employee's alternate pay rates as of the current system date. A pay rate has a stop date that is later than the system date and a start date that is earlier than or equal to the system date. This task shows each rate along with these corresponding information:

Benefit Handbook | Allows employees to view the company's benefits handbook. |
Benefit Plan Descriptions | Lists details about the company's benefit plans. |
Competency Profile (Credentials) |
Lists competency and certification requirements by job or position. For each requirement, the system shows the employee's current status. Employees and managers can view the competency profile. Managers can update competency data. If the employee has work restrictions, then there is a link to Work Restrictions and Accommodations (PA15.2). |
Contract Balances |
Lists base and supplemental contracts assigned to the employee contract year. The employee can view the individual assignment details. The employee can also calculate a year-to-date balance for selected contract assignments. |
Current Benefits |
Lists the employee's benefits. The employee's current benefits and pay frequency is used to determine the employee's out of pocket benefit expenses. The employee can filter the list by an effective date. By default, the system date is used as the effective date. A current benefit has a stop date that is not earlier than the effective date and a start date that is earlier than or equal to the effective date. The Coverage column shows a figure related to the benefit type. This task shows annual contributions as:

Job Profile | Lists information related to an employee's job (for example, department, location, hire date). |
Jobs Applied For |
Lists all job openings for which an employee has applied. If an employee is associated with a job requisition, then that requisition and the date on which the employee applied is displayed along with additional requisition detail. |
Leave Balances | Leave Balances shows the employee's time off balances. If you are using Absence Management (LP), then this task shows LP balance details. Otherwise, it shows Time Accrual (TA) balance details. |
Multiple Jobs/Positions |
Lists all jobs or positions for the employee, along with these information:
The employee can filter the list by an effective date. By default, the system date is used as the effective date. A job or position has a stop date that is not earlier than the effective date and a start date that is earlier than or equal to the effective date. |
Organization Chart |
Lists the company's structure. Included are the employee's
Users can click a level to expand or collapse it. |
Pay Checks |
Allows employees to view their pay history (for example, payments, payment detail, automatic deposit distributions). Payments are listed by descending date. Employees can select a specific payment and view year-to-date information in a check stub format. The Paycheck task shows two formats based on the currency code on the record. There is the Canadian format and another format for all other countries that is based on United States' requirements. If the user accesses this task from the Year-to-Date link, then only the payments for the selected year are displayed. Company deductions are listed only if you set them up to print on Employee Payments or Deductions (PR05.1). Tax deductions show the taxable wage amount. |
India Pay Checks |
Allows India employees to view their pay history (for example, payments, payment detail, and other India-specific pay stub information). Payments are listed by descending date. Employees can select a specific payment and view year-to-date information in a pay stub format. Company deductions are listed only if you set them up to show on the payslip using C605.1. |
Pay Rate History | Allows employees to view pay rate history, including effective date, new rate, annualized rate, percent change, and currency for all pay changes. |
Payment Modeling | Employees can hypothetically calculate new net or gross payments based on

Phone Book |
Lists phone numbers and other contact information for the company's employees. You can search the phone book by first name, last name, or process level. |
Policy Manual | Allows employees to view the company's employee handbook. |

Lists specific education, licenses, and certifications for physicians and nurses.
