Defining a detail group

A detail group is a group of row lines that you can repeat for a range of accounts or levels. Define a detail group to save time when defining a report that has similar lines going down the page with only the account or accounting unit being reported on changing.

  1. Access Account Rows (RW10.2), Level Rows (RW10.3), or Both Rows (RW10.4).
  2. Click More for the row to access the Additional Information (RW10.6) subform.
  3. On the Options tab, in the Detail Group field, specify a numeric or alpha value (1-9 or A-Z) to include the line in the detail group.
  4. For each of the succeeding row lines that you want to include in the detail group, click More and assign the same number in the Detail Group field.
