Overriding values for a column

You can override the default company, account, or level for a column to show a side-by-side comparison of data in a report. For example, if you want to show account balances for company 4321 next to account balances for company 1234, then you would need to override the company in the second column. Use this procedure to override the default company, account, or level for a column.

Note: Report Writer uses a hierarchy for determining the order to override information.

  1. Access Format (RW20.1).
  2. Inquire on the format that includes the column that you want to override.
  3. Click More next to the column that you want to override to access Column Options (RW20.3).
  4. Override defaults that you defined on Report Writer (RW00.1).
  5. Click Company Override to override the company range defined for a report using Company Override (RW20.4).
  6. Click Account Override to override an account range defined for a report using Account Override (RW20.6).
  7. Click Level Override to override a level range defined for a report using Level Override (RW20.5).
