Copying a group

If you are defining a new group that is similar to an existing one, then you can copy an existing group and make changes. This provides a fast way to create a new group without the effort of duplicating information that was already defined. Use this procedure to copy a level group, an account group, or a subaccount group.

  1. Access Level Group (RW40.1), Account Group (RW40.3), or Subaccount Group (RW40.4) and inquire on the group that you want to copy.
    Note: Any group name must be unique. For example, you cannot have a level group and an account group with the same name.
  2. On the form that appears, click New Group .
  3. Click Copy to open the Group Copy subform. Use this subform to copy a group. Use these guidelines to specify the field values:
    New Level Group, New Account Group, or New Subaccount Group

    In the New Level Group, New Account Group, or New Subacct Group field, specify a name that identifies the new group.

    Folder

    Select the folder where you want to store the new group.

    Copy Group

    Select the existing group that you are copying.
