Copying a group

If you are defining a new group that is similar to an existing one, then you can copy an existing group and make changes. This provides a fast way to create a new group without the effort of duplicating information that were already defined. Use this procedure to copy a level group, an account group, or a subaccount group.

  1. Access Level Group (RW40.1), Account Group (RW40.3), or Subaccount Group (RW40.4) and inquire on the group you want to copy.
  2. On the form that appears, click New Group.
  3. Click Copy to open the Group Copy subform.
  4. In the New Level Group, New Account Group, or New Subacct Group field, specify a name that identifies the new group.
  5. Select the folder where you want to store the new group.
  6. In the Copy Group field, select the existing group that you are copying.
  7. Select OK.
