Setting up procurement templates
Procurement templates make ordering frequently used items more efficient.
To set up procurement templates
- Access Procurement Templates (PO15.1). Select a procurement group, template, and from company.
-
Add the items you want to be part of the procurement
template, as well as the service code, unit of measure, and quantity.
Note: You can also add items that do not have an item file record or service code (special type items) to the procurement templates if the option is enabled on the Procurement Group (PO00.1).
-
Click the Participants button to define the participants
for this template.
A procurement template must have at least one participant assigned to it. Also, the participant must be either a buyer or buyer group participant. You set up participants using Procurement Template Participants (PO15.2).
-
Click the Lock button to select whether
to allow changes to the procurement template (and its participants).
The application transfers you to Procurement Templates Locking (PO15.3). Use the following guidelines to enter field value:
- Lock Template and Participants
-
Select whether you want to lock both the procurement template and its participants, so that no changes to either are allowed. The default is No, indicating that changes can be made to the template and its participants.
Note: PO15.3 displays conditionally, based on your security setup. -
Select a line tab to add information to the procurement
template line. Consider the following tabs.
- Line Detail

- Commodity
