Defining an instructor

Define your instructors. Instructors are employees or individuals from outside the company. If the instructor does not work for your organization, record the instructor's address and telephone.

To define an instructor

  1. Access Instructor (TR07.1).
  2. To add a new instructor, leave the Instructor field blank.
  3. In the Effective Date field, type the first date the instructor teaches a course. This is a required field.
  4. In the Employee section, use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Company

    If the instructor is an employee, select the company.

    Employee

    If the instructor is an employee, select the employee.

  5. In the Non-employee section, use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Employer

    If the instructor is not an employee, type the name of the instructor's employer.

    Name

    If the instructor is not an employee, type the instructor's last name, first name, and middle initial.

  6. Select the Add form function. The Instructor field displays the number assigned to the instructor.
