Analyzing wages

When you run Wage Analysis Report (PA360) , you specify the job class, job code, or grade for which you want to create salary data. Also, run the report for a specific employee group. This is a powerful tool to examine your organization's internal equity.

Only employees with an active pay status are included in wage analysis. For example, the active payment statuses attached to the employee status on Employee (HR11) are included in the wage analysis report.

The report created by Wage Analysis Report (PA360) does the following:

  • Determines low, average, and high salaries

  • Compares male and female rates

  • Figures each employee's compa and percent of range

  • Lists, in the right column of the report for each employee, the words RED (for red circle) or GREEN (for green circle). RED indicates the employee's salary is higher than the range; GREEN indicates the employee's salary is lower than the range.

  • Creates an exception report that identifies employees with a job code but no salary range or schedule and grade.

If an employee's job code has both a salary range and a grade range schedule, the Wage Analysis Report uses the grade range schedule. Which salary range is used for the Wage Analysis Report?
