Defining military information

If an applicant is hired through a personnel action, information from Applicant Military Service (PA39.1) transfers.

Use this procedure to track information about an employee's military status and service.

  1. Access Military Service (PA14.1).
  2. Complete the form using the following guidelines:
    Veteran

    Select the veteran status of the employee. This status will be displayed on Employee (HR11).

    The veteran status entered is used when running the Veterans Employment Report (PA393).

    Draft Status

    Type the draft status of the employee.

    Rank Attained

    Type the highest rank the employee attained in the military.

    Active

    Select whether the employee is currently in the Reserves or National Guard. Leave the field blank if the employee is not active in either.

  3. Select the Add form function.
