To move one position level to another
- Access Action (PA50.1) and create the following action codes:

Create an action code that contains the fields that should be moved to another level.
 - 
              
Create an action code that ends a position level.
 
Note: Steps 2 and 5 can be performed in the opposite order. - 
              
 - Access Individual Action (PA52.1) or Position and Job Action (PA52.5) to move data from one level into another.
           
Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
- Position Level
 - 
              
Select the position level that you want to move data to. For example, if you want to make another position the primary (Level 1) position, select 1.
 - Process Type
 - 
              
In the Special Process section of the Parameters page, select Move from Level
 - Move From Level
 - 
              
Type the position you want to move data from. For example, if you want to make the Level 4 position the primary position, select 4.
 
 - Select the Move From Level form action.
 - Review the new values on the Assignment, Pay, and Account pages. You can modify them if necessary.
 - Add an employee action to end the level from which data has been moved.
 - If actions are not immediate, access Action Update (PA100) to make actions take effect.
