User fields

If you need to track more position information than the defined fields allow, user fields help you meet your needs. You define up to 99 user fields for tracking position information. The user fields defined to track position information do not default to the employee master.

The following table explains the kinds of fields and the associated values:

Example

The Flex Corporation has a number of positions that receive a company car. Therefore, Flex Corporation defines a Company Car user field with a value list that includes selections of Luxury Sedan and Economy Compact. The Company Car user field and Luxury Sedan value is associated with the position of Vice President of Marketing. The Economy Compact value is associated with the Marketing Representative position.
