Salary ranges

Within the Human Resources application, the term salary range means a single range of salaries applied to a job code. A salary range has a minimum, midpoint, and maximum salary or pay rate used for wage analysis in Personnel Administration.

Use salary ranges for wage analysis if the salary range of all employees with the same job code is the same. All employees assigned to a job code use the same salary range for wage analysis.

Salary ranges do not determine an employee's actual pay.

Example

Two Rivers Headquarters has three different salary ranges for clerks. They have defined three job codes and defined the salary ranges for each code in Job Code (HR06).
