Authorizing applicants or employees

You can override the normal qualification requirements and authorize the candidate for the job, position, or both. Once authorized, the candidate is included in a job or position qualification search.

For example, an employee will appear in Employee Job Qualification (PA64.1) and Employee Position Qualification (PA64.2) after the employee is authorized. An applicant will appear in Applicant Job Qualification (PA65.1) and Applicant Position Qualification (PA65.2) after the applicant is authorized, regardless of the defined qualifications.

To authorize an applicant or employee

  1. Access the appropriate form for your need.
    To Use
    Authorize an employee for a position or a job Employee Qualification Override (PA23.1)
    Authorize an applicant for a position or a job Applicant Qualification Override (PA37.1)
  2. Complete the form using the following guidelines:
    Job Code

    Select the job code to authorize an employee or applicant for a job code.

    Position

    Select the position to authorize an employee or applicant for a position.

    Authorized Employee/Applicant

    Select the candidate that you are authorizing.

  3. Select the Add form function.
