Considerations for positions or jobs with multiple currencies
An employee's base currency is the currency in which an employee's pay and benefits are calculated. If you use the Infor Payroll application, the employee is paid in his or her base currency. The employee's base currency is always the same as the currency used by the level 1 position or job, which in turn is the same as the position or job's process level currency. If a process level is not assigned to the position or job, the currency is the same as the company's base currency.
Position or job levels 2-98 can use different currencies. But Personnel Administration uses an exchange rate to calculate those pay rates in the employee's base currency. Personnel Administration uses the exchange rate as of the effective date associated with the level 2-98 position or job. The pay rate is not recalculated when time records are processed.
