Review type

A review type is a code you define to explain when and why a performance review is done. You usually distinguish between an initial or preliminary review (intended to set goals) and an annual or other periodic review. You identify your organizational needs and then define the appropriate codes.

Example

Company ABC defines three review types. An initial review is given after 90 days of employment. The annual review is given once a year. A probationary review is given during or after a corrective action period.
