Position class
A position class groups together similar position codes. A position class is used for inquiry, reporting, and totaling. You assign a position code to many position classes. For example, create one position class for all manager positions in your company; create another position class for all positions in the administration department. Your administration manager is included in both position classes.
Authorized budgets, assigned resource counts (head count and FTE), and variances are totaled by position class for viewing and reporting.
