Defining certifications

Note: If an applicant is hired through a personnel action, information from Applicant Certification (PA36.1) transfers.

Track information about an employee's certifications. Personnel Administration uses certification information to determine if an employee is qualified for a job or position.

To define certifications

  1. Access Certifications (PA22.1).
  2. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Certification

    Select a certification code that represents the employee's certification.

    Date Acquired

    Type the date the employee acquired the certification.

    Renewal Date

    Type the date the certification needs renewal.

    Renewal Cycle

    If the certification needs renewal, select the frequency of the renewal.

  3. Select the Change form function.
