Assigning a grade range schedule to an employee

Assign a schedule and grade to an existing job code, to an employee, or both. The following procedure covers assigning a grade range schedule to an employee.

How do I use the Wage Analysis Report?

To assign a grade range schedule to an employee

  1. Access Employee (HR11.1).
  2. In the Employee field, select the employee for which you are assigning a grade range schedule.
  3. Select the Inquire form function.
  4. On the Pay tab, in the Schedule, Grade fields, select the schedule and grade for the employee.

    Grade range schedules are different than step and grade schedules. Step and grade schedules are defined in the Payroll application. You cannot assign an employee to both kinds of schedules.

  5. Select the Change form function.
    Note: You can assign grade range schedules through personnel actions.
