Updating applicant status

If you add or change an applicant's status for a requisition, the application updates the applicant's status on forms that are associated with that requisition. When an applicant is associated with multiple requisitions, each association may be given a separate status. Changing the applicant status on one requisition will not impact the other requisitions the applicant has applied for. Extending an offer will update the status for only the requisition that is filled. If the applicant has applied for other requisitions, those statuses must be updated manually. Consider the following table.

If you update the status on Then
Applicant (PA31.1) No other statuses are updated.
Interviews (PA41.1) Requisition Applicants (PA43.1) and Applicant Requisitions (PA43.2) for the given requisition are updated.
Requisition Applicants (PA43.1) Applicant Requisitions (PA43.2) for the given requisition is updated.
Applicant Requisitions (PA43.2) Requisition Applicants (PA43.1) for the given requisition is updated.
Requisition Offer (PA45.1) Requisition Applicants (PA43.1) and Applicant Requisitions (PA43.2) for the given requisition are updated.

To keep the main applicant record up-to-date, you must update the applicant's overall status on Applicant (PA31.1) when there is a change in status.

To update an applicant's overall status

  1. Access Applicant (PA31.1).
  2. In the status field, select the new status.
  3. Select the Change form action.
