Defining training options
Define your training options before defining courses for your curriculum. All companies within your organization that have access to Training Administration use the options you define here. Define options for registration, wait list, competency source, and currency.
After you select the options, you do not need to use this form again unless you want to change options. Any change takes effect at the time of the change. The changes are not retroactive.
To define training options
- Access Training System Options (TR00.1).
-
In the Registration section, use the following guidelines
to enter field values:
- Course Approval
-
Select whether to define courses that require employees to have approval before registering. If you select Yes, you must select a value on Courses (TR01.1) to indicate whether the course requires approval.
- Multiple Registrations
-
Select whether an employee's registration status can be confirmed for more than one session of the same course. If employees are confirmed for more than one session, you should remove their names from the sessions they did not actually attend.
-
In the Wait List section, use the following guidelines
to enter field values:
- Wait Lists
-
Select whether to use the wait list feature. The wait list lets you place employees on a wait list when a session is full.
Note: If you want to use the Automatic Wait List, this field must be set to Yes. - Automatic Wait List
-
Select whether to use the wait list feature which lets you place employees on a wait list when a session is full. If you select Yes, the system places employees on the wait list if the session is full. If openings occur, the system fills them from the wait list. If you select no, you fill session openings yourself by changing the registration status.
Note: The Wait List field must be Yes to use the Automatic Wait List. - Automatic Wait List Sequence
-
If you selected Yes for Automatic Wait List, select a value that indicates the order in which employees are removed from the wait list and confirmed into a session if an opening occurs.
Note: Use HR Codes (Type SS), to define your Competency Source codes. For more information, see the Infor Human Resources User Guide. - In the Competency Source field, select the default source of competencies. For example, work experience, training, or schooling. Override the default competency source at the competency level if necessary. Defining course certifications and competencies
-
In the Currency section, consider the following
table.
- Base Currency
-
Select a base currency for the training application information. The currency does not have to be the same as the base currency you define in Company (HR00.1). If you have only one HR company, We recommend that the currency match the base currency defined in HR00.1.
- Multiple Currencies
-
Select the value that indicates if you want to use more than one currency in Training Administration. If you select Yes, you can assign a different currency for each course or session cost.
- Currency Table
-
If you select Yes in the Multiple Currencies field, select the currency table to link currency relationships. Currency tables are defined in Currency Table (CU00.1). Human Capital Management uses the rate table selected in Company (GL10.1). Select the same rate table or use a different rate table.
- Select the Add form function.
