Recording participation and completion

After employees have attended a training session, record their training completion. If the training completion is satisfactory, the competencies or certifications associated with the session are awarded and the Personnel Administration record is updated. If the certification is required for employee group membership, the application also updates the employee group.

To record participation and completion

  1. Access Session (TR04.1).
  2. In the Status field, select Completed.
  3. Select the Change form function.
  4. Select the Completion button to access Session Completion (TR22.1).
Note: When you transfer to TR22.1 from TR04.1, the Course, Session, Start Date, and Date Completed default.
  5. In the Employee Information section, use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    St (Status)

Select the extent to which the employee completed the course. If you select Complete (F) or Part Compet (S), the course's certifications and competencies are updated. If the competencies or certifications affect group membership, the employee group also updates. If you select Cmplt NoCmp (N) or Part Nocmpt (P), the employee's certifications and competencies are not updated. You cannot select Confirmed (C), Wait List (W), or Canceled (X).

There is no system logic tied to the statuses Complete versus Partially Complete. This distinction should be defined by your organization to meet your business requirements.

    Course Proficiency

Select the level of proficiency acquired by completing the session. If entered, this proficiency is updated on the employee's training history record. Viewing and updating completed course history
