Requisition status code

A requisitions status code tracks where the requisition is in the cycle of identifying, establishing, and filling open jobs or positions within your organization. You give each requisition status code a count status of active or excluded. If position rules are defined to include requisitions in resource counts, then requisitions with active count status are included.

Example

Jason's Ice Cream processes a small number of requisitions each year. It is decided to define only two requisition status codes, Open or Closed. Jason's Ice Cream decides to include open requisitions in their resource counts. Therefore, the Open status code has a count status of Active and the Closed status code has a count status of Exclude.

Example

Barney's Sporting Goods processes a large number of requisitions each year. To distinguish where each requisition is in the process, the organization defines four requisition status codes; pending, approved, filled, and cancelled. The defined position rules include requisitions in the resource counts, but only the status code of approved is given a count status of active. Pending, filled, and cancelled requisition are excluded from the counts.
