Deleting ledger company history

Note: You cannot delete records that are within the Current, Last, or Next year.

Use this procedure to delete historical ledger company records.

All the periods in the fiscal year for which you are deleting records must be closed with a Final Close status.

Delete ledger company history

  1. Access Ledger History Delete (ML300).
  2. Select the history records you want to delete.
  3. Specify this information:
    Ledger

    Select the ledger for which you want to delete history records.

    Company Company Group

    Select a company or a company group for which you want to delete history records.

    Note: The company or companies you select must be associated with the ledger on Ledger Setup (ML10.1).
    ME Transactions
    • To delete transaction records, specify the fiscal year for which you want to delete records. The fiscal year must be at least two years older than the current year and all the periods must be closed with a status of Final Close.

    • To save the deleted files to a set of comma-separated-value (CSV) archive files in this directory, select Yes in the Archive field.

      Note: The archive files get overwritten each time you run this program. To keep a copy of the archive files, copy them to a different directory before you run this program again.
    Consolidations and Balances
    • To delete consolidation and balance records, specify the fiscal year for which you want to delete records. The fiscal year must be at least two years older than the current year and all the periods must be closed with a status of Final Close.

    • To save the deleted files to a set of comma-separated-value (CSV) archive files in this directory, select Yes in the Archive field.
