Defining a ledger group

Use this procedure to define and maintain a ledger group. A ledger group consists of one or more ledgers. You use the ledger group to assign ledgers to detail or posting accounts.

You must define a ledger before you can associate it with a ledger group.

Define a ledger group

  1. Access Ledger Group (ML11.1).
    1. To define a new ledger group, click the New Group button.
    2. On Define New Group, specify the new ledger group name and description.
    3. Add the new group to return to Ledger Group (ML11.1).
  2. Add ledgers to the ledger group.
  3. Specify this information:
    Ledger

Select the ledger or ledgers you want to associate with the ledger group.

Note: You do not have to select a ledger in this field to assign the ledger group to a General Ledger account, but the ledger group will have no meaning until it is associated with at least one ledger. You can include as many ledgers as you need in the ledger group.
