Copying a ledger company

You can copy a ledger company or all the ledger companies within a ledger to a new ledger with or without the old ledger company balances.

Copy a ledger company

Access Ledger Company Copy Delete (ML110).
Define your copy parameters.
Specify this information:
Action

Select M (Copy) in this field.

Ledger

Select the name of the ledger you want to copy.

Company
- To copy all the ledger companies in the ledger, leave this field blank.
- To copy one ledger company, specify or select the company number.
To Ledger(Copy tab)

Specify the name and description of the new ledger to which you want to copy the ledger company or companies.

Note: When you submit ML110, the new ledger is automatically created and added to the same ledger groups as the old ledger. A calendar is created for each copied ledger company. It is identical to that of the old ledger company.

Balance, Transactions (Copy tab)

Select Yes in this field to copy the ledger companies with their balances and transactions. The default is No.

Note: If you select No, the new ledger companies contain no transactions or balances and you can modify the calendar maps before you start adding journal entries. If you select Yes, the new ledger companies contain the same transactions and balances as the old ones, and you cannot modify the calendar maps.
