Deleting a ledger company

Note: If you delete all the companies associated with a ledger, the ledger is deleted as well.

You can delete a ledger company or all the ledger companies within a ledger.

Ledger companies must have a status of Inactive to be eligible for deletion.

What happens when I delete a ledger company?.

Delete a ledger company

  1. Access Ledger Company Copy Delete (ML110).
    Note: Ensure all the ledger companies you want to delete have a status of Inactive on Ledger Setup (ML10.1).
  2. Select your delete parameters.
  3. Specify this information:
    Action

    Select D (Delete) in this field.

    Ledger

    Select the name of the ledger you want to delete.

    Company

    • To delete all the ledger companies in the ledger and the ledger itself, leave this field blank. The ledger is removed from all the ledger groups it belonged to.

    • To delete one ledger company, specify or select the company number.

      Note: If you do not delete all the companies from the ledger, the ledger still exists and contains only the companies you have not deleted. However, the ledger is removed from all the ledger groups it used to belong to, and you must re-associate the ledger with the applicable ledger groups.
