Defining a Match Class

Build your match class from the match elements you have defined. A match class contains a hierarchy of match elements. You must define at least one match class. A company can use only one match class. However, you can assign the match class to one or more companies.

To define a match class

  1. Access Match Class (MA00.3).
  2. Define a unique name for the match class.
  3. Select elements for the match class. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Hierarchy

A match class can contain a single element or as many as 10 elements.

Note: The total field size of all elements in a match class cannot exceed 85 characters.
    Element

    Select an element.

Note: At least one element must be defined as the item (item length defaults to 32 characters).
  4. Select the Add form action.
    Caution:
After you assign the match class to a company in Company (MA01), you cannot make any changes. You must assign a new match class to the match company if your match class has changed.
