Defining a date formula

Use the following procedure to define the values for different calendar dates. These values can be either an amount or a calculation.

To define a date formula

  1. Access Date Formula (LP06.5).
  2. Select a company and complete the form. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Date Formula

    Type a code for the formula.

    Date

    Type the date for which the accrual occurs.

    Note: If you need time for accrual prior to a calendar date, include the lead time on the date entered for the formula. For example, if the July 4th holiday is to be accrued in advance for an employee on a monthly schedule, you can enter 0601yyyy on the formula.
    Description

    Type a description for this date.

    Amount

    Type an amount for the formula. You cannot enter both an amount and a calculation.

    Calculation

    Select a calculation for the formula. You cannot enter both an amount and a calculation.
